NYAC is happy to announce that the Needs Assessment survey tool is ready! After the tireless attention of the Working Group over the past few months, we have designed a survey and process that we think (and hope) will be very useful in collecting information about behaviors, attitudes, and facts about how LGBTQI young adults are or are not using tobacco products. Not only will we be able to make programmatic and policy recommendations for the nation, but we anticipate being able to make cross-regional comparisons and make specific regional statistics available to your organizations. Of course, to make sure your region is counted, we need you to be part of distributing the survey to young adults in your area.

Register

In order to be qualify as a partner organization and to distribute the survey, you only need to do the following
 

1. Complete the Registration and Certification form and return it to jb Beeson at jb@nyacyouth.org or fax at 202.319.7365 (**Please note that NYAC has 2 fax numbers, the second being 877.492.8916, if your organization has an older fax system please use the 202.319.7365)
2. One staff member must watch a webinar recording on the National LGBTQI Young Adult Needs Assessment Partner Organization Logistics.

Outreach

The Needs Assesment will be available in two forms - paper and a web version.

Paper - Once an organization has registered to be a partner organization, a packet with all the materials and versions of the survey will be mailed to you.

Web - To post a web button on your organizations' website to link to the survey, use the code below the image to embed on your sites, Facebook pages, MySpace Pages:

Incentives

NYAC will donate $125 to the first 50 organizations that register to participate in the needs assessment. Each young adult that completes the survey will be entered into a rolling drawing to win one of the following gift cards - 10 cards worth $50, 5 cards worth $100, and 1 card worth $150.*

*In accordance with the Master Settlement Agreement, no monetary reward can be distributed to (1) organizations or persons in Texas, Florida, Mississippi, or Minnesota AND (2) any organizations that receive monetary or other support from any tobacco-related entities.
