Join us Wednesday, January 19th for an in-depth look at youth dating violence, a type of intimate partner violence. NYAC is honored to welcome Melinda Coles, MSW, Director of Community Education for the DC Rape Crisis Center.  By the end of the 1-hour session, participants will be able to define youth dating violence, learn about its prevalence in LGBTQ youth relationships and debunk commonly held myths that surround it. Trans young adults experience different hardships than other LGB youth and in doing so have some unique skill development and life negotiating choices that other young people may only experience with age or time. This webinar will explore the difficulties experienced, strengths developed, and places where providers and other adult allies and support trans youth.

It will be host by NYAC staff in conjunction with a youth member of the NYAC, demonstrating youth-adult partnerships at its finest.
