Best Practices in Internet Outreach

NYAC welcomes guest trainer and facilitator Ra'Shawn Flournoy, Internet Outreach Coordinator for AID Upstate in Greenville, SC in this innovative webinar on the ins and outs of internet outreach. 

This webinar will help attendees understand how to use targeted internet outreach to connect with youth in prevention and linkages to care.  Specifically, this webinar will address the following topics:

  • Basic approach to internet outreach,
  • Setting policies and procedures when working with websites and within your organization,
  • When it is appropriate (specifically using it to work with youth,
  • Tools and resources

Ra'Shawn D. Flournoy was born in Spartanburg, South Carolina, the son of Bobby & Alice Tanner. Radical, Revolutionary, Innovative, and Cutting Edge are some of the words often used to describe Ra'Shawn Flournoy. His driven vanguard has inspired many around the nation. He maintains a passion for education, particularly among adolescents and young adults, and seeks to address their sexuality issues, as well as create strategies that reduce the negative consequences of early or irresponsible sexual involvement. Ra’Shawn Flournoy currently serves as the Prevention Coordinator and Internet Outreach Specialist for AID Upstate in Greenville, South Carolina. He is also the Co-Founder of the Freedom Community Center, a 501 (c) 3, nonprofit organization dedicated to provide an array of individual-level, group-level and community-level programs and services targeting youth and young adults in the community. Ra’Shawn Flournoy is working on his first book entitled, “The Naked Truth”. He also serves as a member on the South Carolina MSM Workgroup Board. Prior to his role in HIV/STD Prevention, Ra'Shawn Flournoy serves as the Senior Pastor and Founder of Freedom Worship Church in Columbia, South Carolina. Today, his ecumenical messages have been heard on the far shores of South Africa and England.
